Betting Tips: Roma’s coach comes in handy

Roma almost pulled off one of the greatest smash-and-grab victories in recent memory last time out, only to be denied by a late Napoli equaliser.

The capital club did not so much park the bus after taking the lead at the Stadio San Paolo as throw away the key to the vehicle, but manager Eusebio Di Francesco will have been pleased with the eventual outcome.

Fiorentina also drew 1-1, in their case at Torino, and backing under 2.5 goals here – available at 2.15 – would be wise.

Arsenal vs Liverpool (Premier League)

Unai Emery’s side dropped points in the Premier League for the first time since August last weekend, when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace.

Liverpool’s fine start to the season continued with a 4-1 thrashing of Cardiff City, whose manager Neil Warnock looks more and more like Mrs Doubtfire with each passing week.

This should be an entertaining clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday – back over 2.5 goals with both teams to score at 1.75.

Rayo Vallecano vs Barcelona (La Liga)

Barcelona showed that they can cope without Lionel Messi last weekend, thrashing rivals Real Madrid to remain top of La Liga.

Luis Suarez stepped up in the absence of the Argentinian, sinking his teeth into the los Blancos defence (although not literally this time) and scoring a hat-trick in a 5-1 win. That will give

Rayo Vallecano food for thought as manager Michel chews over potential solutions ahead of his side’s meeting with the champions on Saturday.

Rayo are struggling this season, so back Barcelona to triumph and score more than 2.5 goals at 1.70.

Hertha Berlin vs RB Leipzig (Bundesliga)

RB Leipzig have drawn their last two games 0-0, while Hertha Berlin’s last three matches have ended with the scores level.

The logical thing, then, would be to predict another stalemate when the duo goes head-to-head this weekend, but we fancy Leipzig to come out on top in the capital.

They are now unbeaten in eight Bundesliga matches and should have the firepower to overcome a Hertha side who have looked vulnerable at the back of late. Go for an away win at 2.20.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Lille (Ligue 1)

It is getting to the stage where the prospect of Paris Saint-Germain winning every single Ligue 1 game this season is no longer fanciful.

The reigning champions left Kylian Mbappe out of their starting XI in Le Classique against Marseille last Sunday night, but they still cruised to a 2-0 victory over their fierce rivals – albeit after the young Frenchman had entered the fray.

Winning 100 per cent of their league games would only make PSG’s inevitable early exit from the Champions League even more painful (or, for most of us, hilarious), but another handsome domestic triumph should await them this weekend – go for a PSG win at a -2 handicap at 2.30.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (Premier League)

We are starting to wonder whether Maurizio Sarri will ever give up smoking: Chelsea are still unbeaten following their 4-0 demolition of Burnley last Sunday, and yet their Italian boss continues to puff his way through dozens of cigarettes a day – just imagine how many packets he would get through if his team were doing badly.

Palace were much improved in their recent 2-2 draw with Arsenal, but they have struggled for goals from open play this term and will probably fall to a defeat to nil at Stamford Bridge – take up odds of 2.10 on that eventuality.
