Klopp’s storm in a teacup

With Manchester City taking part in the FA Cup, Liverpool have a chance to retake top spot in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp seems to have spoken about the wind in the northwest of England more than football in the last few weeks, prompting speculation that he could be about to resign as Liverpool boss and take up a new career in weather reporting.

In the meantime, back the Merseysiders to make light work of a Fulham team who are still leaking goals – go for an away triumph and over 3.5 goals at 2.50.

Milan vs Inter (Serie A)

The latest instalment of one of Italian and European football’s biggest derbies takes place this weekend in Serie A, as Milan host Inter at the San Siro – a stadium which they share.

Two teams who have mastered the art of shooting themselves in the foot in recent years will be hoping to instead fire at their opponents (only in a figurative sense, of course), but I’m backing Milan to continue their excellent form with another win at odds of 2.55.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Marseille (Ligue 1)

Undoubtedly the biggest rivalry in the French game, a wounded Paris Saint-Germain will welcome Marseille to the Parc des Princes on Sunday night.

After their hilarious 3-1 defeat by Manchester United in the Champions League – it has come to something when United are seen as the loveable good guys in such a tie – the remainder of the season will feel rather flat for the capital club, which is an extraordinary state of affairs given that they are 17 points clear at the summit of the Ligue 1 standings.

Back them to take out their anger on Marseille by winning a match featuring more than 3.5 goals at 2.35.

Swansea vs Manchester City (FA Cup)

Manchester City have their sights set on a possible quadruple, which is rather greedy if you ask me.

Did no one teach Pep Guardiola about the value of sharing? Swansea are huge outsiders for this FA Cup quarter-final clash – and with good reason, given that the team from South Wales are not even in contention for the playoffs in the Championship.

This should be a pretty comfortable evening for the Premier League champions, so put some money on an away win to nil at 1.70.

Athletic Bilbao vs Atletico Madrid (La Liga)

Atletico Madrid did what Atletico Madrid do last weekend, winning a La Liga game by a goal to nil.

Leganes were their victims on that occasion and they will now turn their attention to Athletic Bilbao in what could be a bruising encounter between two sides who play with plenty of intensity and aggression.

Under 1.5 goals could be worth a punt at 2.35 – I would not be surprised to see this game end scoreless.

Hertha Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga)

Borussia Dortmund may have beaten Stuttgart 3-1 last time out, but they still fell below Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga table.

The 6-0 thrashing of Wolfsburg was an evisceration which left doctors desperately scrambling around to try and find a pulse on the stricken Wolves.

Hertha Berlin have been very inconsistent throughout the campaign, so I think BVB will grind out a win here – go for an away triumph with both teams to score at 3.50.
