Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury – WBC Heavyweight Title Fight
Tensions were high at the pairs final news conference on Wednesday as the two fighters clashed ahead of their Heavyweight clash on December 2nd.
The Champ: Deontay Wilder has had 40 fights and won by knockout in 39 of them. It was well publicised that Wilder wanted to fight Anthony Joshua for all the belts, though the two failed to come to terms on paper, and thus this fight was born.
The Challenger: Tyson Fury is the lineal champ who defeated the legendary Klitschko back in 2015. This then sparked an almost 2-year binge in which the Manchester fighter gained almost 150lbs and made no secret about his drug & drinking habits.
All that is behind him now and Fury is looking to pick up where he left off. The winner of this will almost certainly fight Anthony Joshua, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see the loser have a shot at AJ too.
Saturday Odds Boosts
WERDER BREMEN – BAYERN MUNICH
BAYERN & OVER 4.5 GOALS
(was 4.00 – NOW 4.75)
MANCHESTER CITY – BOURNEMOUTH
MAN CITY & BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
(was 2.40 – NOW 2.75)
SOUTHAMPTON – MANCHESTER UNITED
MAN UNITED TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
(was 2.85 – NOW 3.25)
Sunday Derby Day
Chelsea – Fulham (13:00 CET) – The day’s first derby match kicks off with Fulham’s trip to the bridge. The Cottagers recently installed former Premier League winning manager, Claudio Ranieri, following a dismal start to their campaign under Slaviša Jokanović.
The Tinkerman had an immediate effect in his opening match, steering Fulham to a 3-2 win (their first win since August) over Southampton last weekend, and we think he can do it again and grab a result when he faces his old club on Sunday lunchtime.
DRAW & BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
(was 3.10 – NOW 3.50)
Arsenal – Tottenham (15:05 CET)
Next up is the North London derby. Given that these two are currently enjoying such a rich vein of form, we struggled to come to an agreement as to what we should boost.
After hours of debating and an epic nerf gun war in the office, we finally settled on this odds boost. We hope you agree!
P.S.There are still people shouting “medic” and hiding under desks.
ARSENAL TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
(was 3.30 – NOW 3.75)
Liverpool – Everton (17:15 CET)
The day’s third and final derby takes place at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp will be looking for some redemption following his side’s defeat to PSG in Paris on Wednesday evening but may need to freshen things up if they are to go the distance and come out on top.
Everton are enjoying a decent season under Marco Silva and won’t be shying away from the challenge as they bid to upset the Red’s apple cart. We were again torn between these two as to what we would push as a boost, and given the state of the office after the Arsenal-Tottenham debate, decided to flip a coin.
LIVERPOOL TO WIN & BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
(was 2.90 – NOW 3.25)
