AEK Athens – Ajax – K.O. 18:55 CET

Two second-half goals from Argentinian defender, Nicolas Tagliafico, took the game beyond AEK when these two met back in September.
The 3-0 victory set the pace for the Dutch side’s return to the Champions League, who currently sit second (behind Bayern) after a four-year layoff from the tournament.

The Amsterdam outfit are unbeaten in this season’s edition, and a win in Athens will secure their place in the knockout stages – The last time Ajax made it this far was back in 2006.

Lyon – Manchester City – K.O. 21:00 CET

Guardiola’s charges were stunned by the French side when these two met in the reverse fixture. Two first-half goals and a tactically superb performance from Bruno Genesio’s men caused great concern for punters and bookies alike, as ‘hotly tipped to win the lot’ City fell to a 2-1 defeat.

That defeat was, however, the only defeat of the season for the blues of Manchester, winning their next three Champions League matches, and progressing to the summit of Group F.
Only a win will guarantee Lyon a passage to the knockout stages, while a point will secure a place in the next round for City.

Roma – Real Madrid – K.O. 21:00 CET

The winners of this one will more than likely finish the round as Group G winners. Both sides currently sit on nine points and will fancy their chances against their Matchday 6 opponents in two-weeks time.

A draw will be enough for both sides to qualify but will give Madrid the head-to-head advantage for top-spot, following the Spanish side’s 3-0 win back in September.
While we would never doubt the professionalism of these two great clubs, you’d have to expect a substance over style encounter (given the stakes).

Manchester United – Young Boys – K.O. 21:00 CET

There’s really not much up for debate when Swiss club Young Boys journey to Old Trafford for Matchday 5 of the Champions League.
Mourinho’s side needs a win to secure progression to the next stage, and in truth, anything less could spell curtains for the Portuguese gaffer!

We could dissect the Red Devils toothless draw against West Ham at the weekend, or take a look back at their stop-start run in the Champions League this year, the bottom line is, however, that United just aren’t convincing in any shape or fashion.

Irrespective of the above, though, they should have enough to see off Gerardo Seoane’s charges and limp, somewhat, over the line and into the Knockouts.

Bayern München – Benfica – K.O. 21:00 CET

The landscape of Group E doesn’t make for the best of reading if you’re a Benfica aficionado.

In order for the Águias to progress, they’ll need to beat Bayern by more than two goals in Munich, then hope Ajax also beat Bayern in Matchday 6, while they themselves stick it to AEK.

Given that it was a relatively comfortable win for Niko Kovač & Co. when these two met in Portugal for the reverse fixture, you’d probably stand a better chance of backing Cristiano Ronaldo to become the Prime Minister of Portugal.

For a more ‘two-feet on the turf’ perspective, we’re going with a boost on Bayern.
