On the Rizk Radar: Baskets, Bowls and Balls
It’s not every day we get a blip on the Rizk Radar as big as this; Super Bowl LIII has moved into range and is now fast approaching.
We’ve got targets from across Europe’s elite football leagues, and movement in the form of the NBA.
Super Bowl LIII: Rams vs Patriots
Where else to start than one of the biggest sporting events of the year; The Super Bowl!
The New England Patriots will compete in the NFL’s grandest event for the ninth time under the coach/quarterback pairing of Belichick and Brady; their third in as many years.
This weekend’s showpiece from the Premier League takes place at the Etihad when Manchester City welcome Arsenal in the late kick-off on Sunday. Pep’s posse will be looking to get back to winning ways following their midweek defeat to Newcastle. The Gunners will be hoping to turn City’s blip into a full-blown wobble.
Elsewhere, Newcastle plays Tottenham at Wembley and will go into the match with about as much confidence as self-proclaimed “Genius”, Kanye West, at a pronoun buffet, while Man United travel to Leicester, and Liverpool go up against West Ham down at the London Stadium.

There’s a couple of stand-out games in the Spanish top-flight this weekend. Second place, Atletico Madrid, journey south to Seville to face Real Betis, who, are currently chasing down the European places.
Back to the capital, there’s a top-five tussle between Real Madrid and Alaves at the Santiago Bernabeu. In recent seasons, this match would have been nothing more than a banker home win for Los Blancos, but Alaves are a different animal this term and should pose more of a threat when they meet on Sunday evening.
Boosted La Liga Odds
REAL BETIS – ATLETICO MADRID
was 3.65 – NOW 4.00
We’ve got all the action from America’s premier basketball league this weekend. Golden State tip-off against the L.A. Lakers on Sunday for the third time this season. Lebron James MAY be back for this one, but, in the interest of airing on the side of caution, expect a bit-part involvement at best.
Bucks MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is back for Milwaukee’s second game of the season vs the Wizards. The “Greek Freak” missed the first match-up between these two, a game they lost 113 – 106. Will Giannis be the difference this time around?
Frankfurt’s fantastic start to the Bundesliga season has begun to stutter of late. The surprise package, who occupied the top four for large parts of the first half of the season, welcome Dortmund to Commerzbank-Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Over to Berlin where a battle between 7th and 8th will ensue when Hertha host Wolfsburg. The capital club are another team having an exceptional season (by usual standards) and will be looking to capitalize on the European places with a win.

Milan shocked most of us on Tuesday evening beating Napoli 2-0 in the Coppa Italia. Some may argue that Ancelotti fielded a slightly weakened team, but the effort from the Milanese was valiant none-the-less. Roma have been a handful at home this season and will look to maintain their solid status at the Stadio Olimpico.
Elsewhere in Serie A, Napoli takes on Sampdoria, and Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. play Parma at the Juventus stadium.
There’s your weekend whip around. To get in the game this weekend, head on over to Rizk Sportsbook.
