On the Rizk Radar: Football, NFL and F1
Put your national flags away and gear up for some proper action as we home in on a few epic events showing up on the Rizk Radar ahead of the weekend.
Elite league football is back with another cracker from the Premier League in the early Saturday Kick-off, while football of a different nature gets underway in the NFL on Sunday. If that’s not enough, well be monitoring events under the street lights in Singapore, for the F1 Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton looks to replicate his performance from last year.

Birmingham City v W.B.A (Sept. 14 – 20:45 CEST)
There’s nothing like a good local derby to get the weekend underway, and that’s exactly what we’ve got from the Championship this Friday evening. The last league meeting between these two was a Premier League clash back in 2011, where West Brom ran away 3-1 winners. The away side will be the favourites going into this one, though, a packed out St Andrews stadium and some feisty home support should make for an entertaining match-up.
Tottenham vs Liverpool (Sept. 15 – 13:30 CEST)
An opportunity here for two title hopefuls to lay down an early marker in the race to de-throne Premier League champions, Manchester City. Construction delays at Tottenham’s new stadium mean the two will meet at Wembley for this lunch-time kick-off. It was 4-1 to the home side this time last year, though, Liverpool’s strong additions in the summer and Spurs lack thereof, should even up the odds here and offer some real value for punters.
Athletic Bilbao v Real Madrid (Sept. 15 – 20:45 CEST)
Julen Lopetegui needed a good start to his Real tenure after the shambles that surrounded his sacking as head coach of Spain on the eve of the World Cup. He’s got that with three wins in his first three La Liga matches and will be odds-on to make it four when Los Blanco’s head to the Basque country on Saturday evening. Bilbao have only played twice this season after their week three match at Rayo Vallecano was postponed due to safety concerns regarding the stadium. A win and a draw, however, means Athletic go into this match unbeaten. Good luck maintaining that!
NFL Sunday: Match of the day (Sept. 16 – 19:00 CEST)
Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0)
Super Bowl champs, Philadelphia, journey south this Sunday to face a sprightly outfit in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 35-year-old Bucs’ QB, Ryan Fitzpatrick, threw for 417 yards in their season opener, beating the New Orleans Saints 48-40, and setting a new team record for passing yards to boot. Philly also got off to a winning start with a victory over the Atlanta Falcons, so a good start for both going into this one, but someone’s 0 has got to go!
Singapore GP (Sept. 16 – 14:10 CEST)
Formula One returns to the star-spangled scene of last year’s epic start-line crash involving Vettel, Kimi, Alonso and Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton went on to win the race on that eventful day and will be looking to stretch his lead at the top this year, should things go to plan. For Vettel, a top three finish is a MUST if he is to stand any chance of winning the 2018 Drivers Championship.
